Health care executive Steve Erixon has spent 30 years in his industry and earned a reputation for diligence, innovation, and strong leadership. Board certified in Healthcare Management, Steve Erixon brings professionalism and strategic insight to his work. After earning his Master of Health Administration at Duke University, Steve Erixon began his career as an Administrative Resident at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Illinois. Steve Erixon held a number of positions at Memorial Medical Center over the next several years, eventually becoming Assistant Vice President, Professional Services, then Assistant Vice President, Quality Assurance and Control.In 1987, Steve Erixon applied his growing body of knowledge and skill to his work as a Senior Assistant Administrator at Hospital Corporation of America in Nashville, Tennessee. Steve Erixon spent six years at three different Hospital Corporation of America-affiliated facilities and then became Chief Executive Officer at Columbia Bay Area Medical Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. While filling his first executive role, Steve Erixon made an impressive impact on the organization, developing a free-standing joint venture oncology center and establishing two rural teaching clinics for 21 Family Practice Residents from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. Steve Erixon then moved to Memorial Mother Frances Hospital in Palestine, Texas, where he successfully transitioned the hospital out of bankruptcy and increased market share from 20% to 50%. In 1998, Steve Erixon joined Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Arizona. Steve Erixon led the non-profit hospital to 99th percentile Press Ganey National Results and opened a geropsychiatric and outpatient community counseling center. In 2006, Steve Erixon became President and CEO of Skaggs Regional Medical Center in Branson, Missouri, where he acted as President and CEO until 2009. Steve Erixon is a Fellow of the American College of Health care Executives and belongs to the American Hospital Association.
